Nonhlanhla Makhanya, I was born and raised in Tembisa. I’m both an entrepreneur and a Social entrepreneur. I love life!! I’m a crazy about God and keen to learn more from the bible. I absolutely cherish working with young people, hence I have started an NPO called Uloosha Foundation©. I am a mother to a five year old boy, being a mom has really been an eye opener for me. It has taught me so much about myself and not only that but about Life in general. I studied IT @ UJ, I’m still part of the Information Technology industry and currently work @ Internet Solutions. I’m currently studying towards achieving a Youth Development Diploma with UNISA. I have a great passion for youth development.
I’m a founder and Director of Uloosha Foundation. A Non Profit Organisation that is run by the youth and for the youth, Uloosha was born 2 years ago initially for the community of Tembisa. I have since seen a need for our country, continent and the world at large.
Uloosha is dedicated to empowering and uplifting the youth .Our organisation accomplishes some of its objectives by hosting various informational, empowering and human capital building events in including but limited to workshops and seminars for free, latest being the Youth Arise Seminar. I’m obsessed about change and really believe that there’s so much the youth can do for this country.
I was recently voted a vice president of (MEFSA). The Movement for Economic Freedom South Africa (M.E.F.S.A.) is an organisation constituted by Young Active Citizens of South Africa, who believe in the Power of Change through ACTION and IMPACT to South African Society. As the vice of the movement I have been entrusted to run with an action plan on how we can get the communities of Mzanzi to be informed, developed and empowered to becoming great social entrepreneurs.
During my spare time I write and I’m currently working towards publishing my book. I love encouraging and motivating others to unleash and maximise their full potential. I enjoy spending time with my family as well as travelling. I really look forward to travelling the world, so I can get to meet as much people as I can from all walks of life. I’m a big dreamer and look forward to fulfilling all my dreams in my life time.
