On the 6th of August 2013, Great Women International together with its Partners, the GAD Group of Auditors and Sokhe Events collectively decided to take a leap of Faith by Rising against the tide to Launch the First of Great Women International’s ‘Great Women in Song Annual Music Festival’. The Journey towards this defining day was not without grave challenges but Faith and Hard work brought the Project to a Remarkable line of Completion. Irrespective of the limited resources the Company had at its disposal to launch a Festival of this magnitude, Cape Town was presented with a Beautiful First Great Women in Song Festival.
We would like to Acknowledge the Lord almighty in our Journey towards the realization of this First Great Event, without Him, there is Nothing to Fight for OR against because Battles can only be Won through His Grace. We would further like to extend a Warm Thank you to all our Investors especially the GAD Group of Auditors and Sokhe Events for having joined hands with Great Women International to bring such a meaningful event to life. A Big Thank you to the GWI permanent and Temporary Staff Members for having contributed wholeheartedly towards the implementation of this beautiful event irrespective of the challenges faced. Special Thanks to the Heaven-Sent Jerome Izaaks, without your experience and poise, what were we going to do? Thanks to the Beautiful, elegant and eloquent Presenters from Blue Star Artists in Cape Town and lastly Special Thanks to all the Artists who made it to our Platform with grace and absolute patience, you are all loved by GWI and we look forward to having you on our 2014 Platform again because of the Great attitude you displayed. The result of our collective effort imprinted a powerful mark into the History pages of our country. This Annual Festival was not our Best, it was the inception of even Greater things to be charted, our Best is yet to come!
We look forward to a Bigger and Better 2014 Festival at Good Hope Centre again in the City of Cape Town and we may possibly even host the event at the Coca-Cola Dome in Joburg as well. The first Festival provided our Potential Corporate Sponsors for 2014 and beyond with evidence of what we are capable of and it gave them a sneak-preview into where we are going.
This Annual Event is going to be one of the Greatest Festivals of its kind around the Globe during our times, a platform that every ‘Great Woman Vocalist’ aspires to Grace at least once during her life time.
We look forward to our 2014 Festival/s and beyond. Our 2014 Final Plan of action will be in place by the end of November 2013.
Where ever you are based in South Africa or the Broader African Continent, if you are a Woman of Substance then we will definitely see you at our 2014 Festival. This is an event not to be missed by the Women of our Continent!
